Throughout the courses of Spanish 1 and 2, students will gain an understanding of the multifaceted benefits to learning a second language. As well as develop an appreciation of the rich cultures of Latin America and Spain.
Spanish is a global language spoken officially by over 21 countries and in many regions, especially in the US.Although we study the global nature of Spanish through the history of colonization and the rich culture of the ancient American civilizations, we will also study Latinos in the US.
*Learning a second language is much like learning your original native language, you need exposure in order to learn it.
*Research shows that we learn a language best when we hear it spoken in context with simple, comprehensible, and meaningful messages that are interesting to us.
This means speaking and listening to as much Spanish as possible is going to be the best way for you to learn it!!
